ROLE SUMMARY

The US Customer & Channels Group was formed in 2024 with the vision to bring channel expertise to our Primary Care brands leading to portfolio level strategy planning, efficient use of resources, building year-round operational engine, and further advancing our relationships with customers. The Health System, Urgent Care, and Long-Term Care Channel (HULC) team resides under the US Primary Care Customer & Channel Group. It seeks to drive coordination and maximize opportunity across the Primary Care franchise through holistic channel strategy across Health System, Long-Term Care, and Urgent Care channels to meet the needs of our customers and our portfolio priorities. The team covers the full Primary Care franchise including - Vaccines, Antiviral & Diagnostics, Migraine, and Internal Medicine.

The Channel Strategy Director will report directly to the Health System, UC, LTC Channel Strategy Lead.  This Director will play a critical role in the development of a strategic & tactical plan and execution of a coordinated channel approach across the Primary Care franchise, to accelerate our ability to engage customers and patients within new Primary Care environments. Given the criticality of the Health System and Long-Term Care channels to our Primary Care business, this role is responsible for establishing and leading the pull-through of innovative marketing strategy across our LTC channel.  The Director requires strong marketing planning and execution skills, deep knowledge of the evolving healthcare landscape, robust analytical skills, strong team collaboration, and leadership skills.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Channel Strategy – Health System & Long Term Care Channel

  • Lead the overarching strategy to define and prioritize opportunities to pursue – with specific focus on the Long-Term Care and Health System channels across the Primary Care franchise.
  • Lead and evolve strategic, tactical, and deployment plans of prioritized business critical initiatives across Long Term Care and Health System channels. 
  • Continue and develop relationships with key associations and society contacts (in partnership with internal stakeholders).
  • Create marketing tools/resources for the Health System & Long-Term Care channels at a franchise level, in support of the overarching strategy and to address immediate business needs.  
  • Support the Long-Term Care updated customer facing colleague go to market plan; Ensure optimal roll-out and monitor KPIs for progress and enhancements.

Overall

  • Develop, maintain, and closely collaborate with all key internal stakeholders spanning Primary Care brand marketing teams, Customer Facing Colleague teams, Legal, Finance, and Regulatory.
  • Manage 3rd party marketing vendors and agencies - ensure timely delivery, budget adherence, and maximum impact.
  • Monitor and stay up-to-date on channel market dynamics and trends, including competitive analysis and entrants.
  • Measure the impact of marketing initiatives, generate early learnings, glean insights, and adapt tactics in real-time to drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide routine updates to Leadership on channel activities and impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA or advanced degree in a related field preferred
  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience
  • 2+ years of hands-on commercial analytics or operations experience including broad background in consulting, business analytics, finance, health economics, marketing strategy, or equivalent set of experiences required
  • Able to lead in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to put innovation into action and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Ability to work with complex data sets
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to be able to do both qualitative and quantitative assessments
  • Demonstrated track record of cross-collaboration and strong matrix team coordination/leadership
  • Strong project management, time management, and coordination skills with cross functional teams of diverse colleagues in multi-disciplinary positions
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results across a matrixed organization
  • Documented ability to lead innovation and develop partnerships to build on business opportunities and organizational capabilities
  • Able to think big picture while also being disciplined and detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to access and influence various functional areas, and motivate groups to take action in a compliant manner

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $169,700.00 to $282,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
