The Director of Business Operations (DBO) will provide strategic and operational support to the SVP of Global Technology, Engineering, and Launch (GTEL). This role is responsible for anticipating and prioritizing activities and key issues, ensuring timely execution of initiatives, communications, and driving operational excellence across the GTEL Leadership Team (LT).  This role supports a dynamic global team. 
 

In this role you will:

  • Proactively support the SVP, GTEL assessing calendar needs and actions based on critical business needs. 
  • Lead governance and execution of all GTEL LT meetings (weekly, monthly, and face-to-face), including but not limited to planning, calendar management, facilitation, and action tracking.  Ensure effective meeting governance with decision-oriented agendas, appropriate attendance, and timely follow-up on action items. Manage LT documentation. 
  • Advance business strategy by aligning and cascading goals, implementing performance dashboards, and tracking key metrics. 
  • Partner with Finance to manage the Operating Plan and budget, including annual planning, monthly reconciliation, and tracking. 
  • Collaborate with the SVP, GTEL, and others as appropriate, to prepare materials for PGSLT and other Tier 6 and Tier 7 meetings, external speaking engagements, and special requests (e.g., videos, presentations). 
  • Interface with GTEL LT and broader teams to ensure delivery on key workstreams and metrics. 
  • Drive operational efficiency by streamlining business processes across leadership meetings, strategic planning, and GTEL/PGS initiatives. 
  • Deliver high-quality, accurate and timely submissions for all presentations, reports, etc. 
  • Engage with the PGS DBO community of practice, lead special projects, and apply cross-functional learnings to enhance impact and resource efficiency. 
  • Manage site visits, including annual planning, logistics, speaker notes, local priorities, and post-visit communications. 
  • Support employee recognition efforts (e.g., PGS awards) and engagement activities such as “quality time,” GTEL Town Halls, and other communications. 
  • Lead and participate in PGS and enterprise-wide initiatives as needed. 

Here is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 12+ years of experience; OR a Master’s degree with more than 10+ years of experience; OR a Ph.D. with 7+ years of experience.
  • Broad knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet deadlines and prioritize critical activities for the team   
  • Strong project, time management and organizational skill 
  • Familiarity with strategic and operating planning processes 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and mastery of working in a matrix and complex and fast-paced environment 
  • Track record of strong networking and working collaboratively across functions and geographies

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $182,000.00 to $303,300.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
