Could you be our next Director, Digital Operations & Pipeline Enablement Lead ? The job is in our King of Prussia, PA office. This is a hybrid position and is onsite three days a week. You will report to the R&D Digital Strategy & Delivery Lead .
You will establish and maintain global standards, policies, and governance frameworks for pharmacovigilance (PV) data and processes. You will create the digital transformation of R&D operations and allowing the seamless integration of digital solutions into R&D pipelines. You will focus on optimizing digital workflows, improving operational efficiencies, and ensuring that digital tools help build R&D strategies across the organization.
The Role
- Lead the digital transformation of R&D operations by developing digital solutions that improve processes and enhance productivity across the R&D pipeline
- Collaborate with teams, including R&D, IT, and data science, to allow the seamless integration of digital tools, platforms, and automation into the R&D pipeline
- Improve the use of digital workflows, ensuring that R&D teams have access to tools that support data-driven decision-making and enhance overall pipeline performance
- Develop and implement a framework for pipeline enablement, optimizing the flow of data, insights, and deliverables across R&D teams (e.g., clinical, regulatory, research, safety)
- Oversee the evaluation and implementation of new digital technologies that can accelerate R&D processes, improve collaboration, and increase speed to market
- Define and measure goals for pipeline performance and operational efficiency, improving initiatives
- Establish governance processes for digital tools and systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards
- Collaborate with the Digital Strategy & Delivery Lead to align digital operations with the broader R&D digital strategy and organizational goals
- Provide training and support to R&D teams on digital tools, platforms, and new digital workflows to ensure successful adoption and usage
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in R&D operations, digital transformation, or digital enablement within the life sciences or scientific research industry
- Experience with digital tools, platforms, and automation technologies that support R&D operations (e.g., cloud solutions, AI/ML, data integration platforms)
- Experience managing digital workflows, pipeline optimization, and collaboration to help digital transformation
- Excellent project management skills, digital plans from conception to implementation
- Experience with digital governance, compliance, and process improvement plans in a regulated environment
