What You Will Achieve

In this role, you will:

  • Lead strategic direction, business performance, and financial management for complex activities within a Division or Global Business Unit.
  • Manage people, technology, and financial resources, including those outside direct authority, to achieve business objectives.
  • Share knowledge and establish systems for knowledge-sharing across the Global Business Unit.
  • Foster continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging acceptable risk-taking in daily operations.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems and hold accountability for decisions within the Division or Global Business Unit.
  • Contribute to strategy development and execution, including talent and leadership development, succession planning, and long-term development needs.
  • Hold senior managers accountable for skill development and diversity, and lead resources to deliver on priorities.
  • Work with customers or leadership to achieve objectives, manage direct reports, and ensure their development aligns with organizational goals.
  • Lead Global Procurement’s annual opportunity assessment, manage spend analysis, and develop category strategies to improve value, quality, and service.
  • Ensure adherence to global policies, provide customer relationship management, drive innovative thinking, and support Diversity and Inclusion objectives within Procurement.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • BA/BS with at least 8 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 7 years of experience or PhD/JD with at least 5 years of experience or MD/DVM with at least 4 years of experience.
  • Extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing and category management
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities
  • Proficiency in procurement and finance systems, including Business Intelligence and Data Visualization tools
  • Ability to manage complex projects and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Master’s degree coupled with relevant pharmaceutical experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in procurement systems, processes, and procedures
  • Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or an equivalent accreditation
  • Experience in managing supplier diversity programs
  • Strong understanding of global procurement trends and best practices

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $141,000.00 to $235,000.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 20.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
