We are hiring  Medical Scientist \- Microbiology<\/b> into a Hospital in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities<\/b><\/span><\/span>
<\/div>
  • Assist in writing, maintaining, and enforcing laboratory procedures and protocols for all areas of testing and equipment.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
    • Implement and maintain best\-practice operational standards to optimise workflow, resource utilisation, and service efficiency.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
      • Support the implementation of a patient\-centred quality management programme, including performance audits and client satisfaction monitoring.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
        • Perform scientific work in compliance with INAB, ISO 15189:2022, and JCI accreditation standards, ensuring high\-quality service delivery.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
          • Manage laboratory stocks, document and investigate non\-conformances, equipment defects, and complaints, reporting findings to management.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
            • Collaborate with medical and scientific staff on research projects and contribute to the introduction of new technologies and methods.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
              • Participate in the training and development of laboratory staff, fostering professionalism, communication, and teamwork within the department.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
                • Ensure adherence to safety policies and legislation (Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act), and assist in accident prevention and management procedures.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
                  • Contribute to the development and use of laboratory information systems, and assist in compiling data on departmental activity, staffing, and expenditure.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
                    • Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in regular performance reviews, adapting to evolving duties and service needs.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul> <\/div>

                      Requirements<\/h3>
                      • CORU registration as a Medical Scientist<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
                        • Minimum of 1 year in\-service training across all disciplines.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
                          • Experience in Microbiology.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
                            • Post\-qualification experience.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
                              • Coordinate with laboratory management and other hospital departments to ensure the delivery of an effective and appropriate laboratory service.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
                                • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional and dedicated attitude.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul>
                                  • Demonstrate adaptability to the rapid changes occurring within the health services.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> <\/ul> <\/div>
